The training of humanitarian actors at the local level is essential to develop the resilience of vulnerable communities. This is one of the ambitions of the ECO-DRR project led by the French Red Cross, WWF and BIOFUND to address climate change in the Zambezi province of Mozambique.

As part of this project, volunteers from the Mozambique Red Cross (Luabo branch) were trained in the Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (EVCa). A total of 20 participants were introduced to this approach, which provides a better understanding of the risks communities face and their capacities to take action to reduce disaster risk.

This project is conducted with financial support from the French Development Agency.
