With tens of millions of volunteers working in 190 National Societies, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organisation.

Based in Geneva (Switzerland), IFRC coordinates and directs international assistance following natural and man-made disasters in non-conflict situations.

One of its central missions is to help National Societies and strengthen their capacities. It supports risk reduction efforts and fighting the spread of infectious diseases. It also works to combat discrimination and violence, and promote human rights and assistance for migrants.
