Starting with the 2020-21 academic year, the University of Reunion Island will be teaching a new Master’s Degree in Risk and Environment.

The Master’s in Risk and Environment is the first postgraduate degree of its kind to be offered in the Indian Ocean, and has the key advantage of being suitable for both professional and research purposes. Both students and professionals can enrol on the course.

Unique and highly innovative, it focuses mainly on Disaster Risk Management (DRM) and combines lectures and tutor-supervised projects with internships in the workplace.

The course is accessible to any graduate who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Science or Technology and is taught in French.

The main goal of this Master’s degree is to strengthen regional skills and understanding of concepts, as well as the use of disaster risk management tools and methods.
